News · 2019 EG Football Head Coach Roy Bruce

Hello T-Bird Fans!  The 2019-20 is gearing up to begin soon and what comes with that is “FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS”!!  The Thunderbirds will begin the season on Aug. 16th with a scrimmage at home vs. Brown County at 7:00 p.m.  There will be a few new faces on the sidelines for the Thunderbirds starting with new head coach Roy Bruce.  Coach Bruce will be taking over for EG with the departure of Coach Travis Wray.  Coach Bruce is familiar with EG being from Bedford.  Coach Bruce has been a wrestling coach at BNL for several years and an assistant FB coach for several years as well.  Coach Bruce and the T-Birds have been working hard this summer to gear up for this season.  Coach Bruce is very excited to be in charge of this squad and is also very happy of how far the boys have come this summer.  One concern for Coach Bruce is the number of boys that are playing right now.  Currently, there are only 25 boys that have been coming to summer workouts on a constant basis, however, Coach Bruce is hopeful that some boys will come to practice once school starts in a few short days.

Let’s come out and support the EG Football Team this season and fill the stands as they look to continue our success in 1A FB the last few years.

GO EG THUNDERBIRDS!!!
